His commentary is built upon the well-known matn (essential text) compiled by Imām ʿAbd al-Raḥmān bin Ḥasan Aal al-Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him), the scholar who gathered and articulated the seven conditions of la ilāha illā Allāh and supported each condition with evidences from the Qur’an and the Sunnah.
