Before the reader is a compilation of statements from the Salaf pertaining to the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah, refuting innevations and responding to their proponents. What is clearly discernible inal their statements is the agreement on a single creed due to their consensus in the method of returning to the sources of the religion: the Qur’an and the Sunnah as understood by the Salaf of the Ummah.Imam Abu al-Mudhaffar al-Sam’ani said:“If you gather all that has passed over their tongues and what they have transmitted from their predecessors, you will find it harmonious and consistent. As if it came from one heart and flowed from one tongue. Is there a clearer proof of the truth than this?”
